            Ruidoso Downs, NM—Western-swing music and cowboy enthusiasts are reminded that the June 30 deadline is approaching to receive twenty-percent off all show tickets and day passes purchased for the 26th annual Lincoln County Cowboy Symposium, scheduled for Oct. 9-11 at Ruidoso Downs Race Track.

Crystal Gayle, Bill Anderson, Suzy Boggus, Dave Alexander, and a host of other top western swing musicians are scheduled to perform on four stages throughout the race track.

            “We’ve put together a tremendous group of entertainers,” Shaun Hubbard said. He is general manager of Ruidoso Downs Race Track and Casino which is hosting the annual event that draws thousands and thousands of fans of western swing music, chuck wagons, western art and crafts.

            This year’s evening concerts feature Crystal Gayle with Dave Alexander on Thursday evening October 8 at 7 p.m. on the Ray Reed Stage. On Saturday evening, October 10, Bill Anderson will appear along with Suzy Boggus and the Quebe Sisters. Tickets for the shows are $65, with a 20% discount offered if patrons purchase before next Tuesday.

            The Lincoln County Cowboy Symposium lineup also includes: Tommy Allsup, Billy Mata and the Texas Tradition, Jody Nix and the Texas Cowboys, Jason Roberts, Will Bannister, Coby Carter, Wendel Solis, Mikki Daniel, Belinda Gail, Floyd Domino, Chuck Cusimano, Doug Figg, the Flying J Wranglers, Pete Lambach, Gil Prather and many others.

            The Lincoln County Cowboy Symposium also features a chuck wagon cook-off competition along with seminars on horse training, cowboy horseback shooting, a tribute to the Texas Playboys, and demonstrations on the western way of living. The grandstand will be filled with western-themed arts and crafts. Admission is free on Sundays that include a gospel-music service conducted by the J Bar J County Church.

            The Lincoln County Cowboy Symposium is recognized as one of the premiere western themed entertainment events in the entire southwest and annual draws patrons from throughout the United States.
